Driven by the vision to become one of the top five aluminium producers in the world by 2015, Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL), President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdulla Kalban represents the continuing excellence required to achieve this aim. He gives an insight into managing the innovations and investments that have to be made along the way.Can you advise your career to date and in particular since being with DUBAL?I joined DUBAL in September 1985 as a Graduate Trainee, having completed a degree in Industrial Engineering through the University of New Haven, Connecticut, USA earlier that same year. Since then, I progressed through the ranks at DUBAL and was appointed CEO in 2005, and ultimately became President and CEO in 2008.
