Polycros was used in the work on improvement of the productivity of perspective Lotus corniculatus L. cultivars. The efficiency of this method for plant selection in 12 biological and agriculture features (formation of seeds and green mass of the plants) was studied. The method was found to be effective for most of the features, like seed yield per one plant, number of shoots on one plant, etc. The choice of plant selection trend was not important for such features as the number of flowers and pods. Genotypic and geno-phenotypic studies of the recurrent selection methods revealed an essential rise of yield of the plants in both variants. The better results were obtained with the geno-phenotypic method. Some positive results of recurrent selection were obtained in the average mass of seeds and shoots. The evaluation of synthetic method in Lotus corniculatus selection is given.
