Gerdau mulls two long steel plants, rolling mill in Brazil

Gerdau SA has initiated technical studies for the installation of two new long steel plants and one rolling mill in different parts of Brazil, which could add up to 2 million tonnes per year to its long steel output. Each of the long steel plants-one in Brazil's northeastern or northern region and the other in the mid-western area- would have the capacity to produce between 500,000 and 700,000 tonnes annually.
