摘要

Present status on the thermodynamic properties of experimental data and their correlations of both ammonia and aqueous solution of ammonia was introduced in this paper. The aqueous solution of ammonia is used for not only a working fluid in absorption refrigerator cycles but also working fluids in bottoming cycles of steam power plants and other heat recovering systems. Therefore, the thermodynamic properties of this substance are required in a wide range of temperatures, pressures and compositions. The experimental results of pVTx properties for ammonia and aqueous solution of ammonia and their comparisons with a formulation by Tillner-Roth and Friend were critically surveyed. The "Guideline on the JAPWS Formulation 2000 for the Thermodynamic Properties of Ammonia-Water Mixtures", correlated by Tillner-Roth and Friend, was approved on September, 2001, by the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (JAPWS).
