China is a country with long history in navigation and shipbuilding as well as in safety supervision and ship survey. China Classification Society (CCS) has grown up with the establishment and development of New China. It has now become both the main force in the national ship survey sector and an important technical supporter of the development of national shipping and shipbuilding industries.
