EVERY once in a while, it does everyone good to get off the farm, or — in my case — see agriculture in another part of the country. You see things in a new light when you return home. A month ago, I escaped to Iowa to cover the World Food Prize anda North American Agricultural Journalists' tour. I was blown away by the changes coming to agriculture in that part of the country. What's funny is that when I grew up there, I didn't realize how steady the wind was across the prairies.
