Boundary conditions of magnetrons operation are investigated, and phenomena, that limit the output power, have been found out: they are critical space charge density in the electron spoke and or too high amplitude of RF-voltage. A boundary power analysis approach based on the graph of a normalized amplitude curve is proposed. Found analytical equations allow to compute the maximal power and the optimal external quality factor of the magnetron resonator system. Calculated data are in good agreement with experimental results.
