At first I pay my homage to this great scientist and visionary, Prof. S.K. Mukherjee through my deliberation. I thank Indian Society of Soil Science (ISSS) for giving me an opportunity to deliver 8th Professor S.K. Mukherjee memorial lecture, organized by Delhi Chapter of ISSS. On this occasion, I have chosen my talk on the topic entitled "A Re-look on P Supplying Capacity of Soil through a Mechanistic Approach".
