摘要

In the present work basic aspects of the bimolecular electron transfer processes have been studied by photochemical means and the heterogeneous electrochemical electron transfer processes have been applied in corrosion research and electroanalysis. Photoinduced electron transfer (ET) reactions were studied from the fluorescence quenching experiments using coumarins and quinones as the fluorophoric compounds and different amines as the quenchers. In electrochemical research basic aspects of the corrosion property of SS304, Zircaloy-2 and Cu were studied. Current due to the interfacial electron transfer process on modified electrodes was used for the determination of analytes in trace and ultra trace concentrations.
