CRYSTAL STRUCTURE DETERMINATION AND STRUCTUREPROPERTY CORRELATION

摘要

Crystal structure determination constitutes an important part of solid-state research since many of the crystal properties depend directly on the crystal structure. A brief description of structural studies on hydrogen-bonded crystals like triglycine sulphate (TGS), triglycine selenate (TGSe), bis (glycinium) oxalate etc. has been given in this article. Many of the crystal properties like the difference in the nature of the ferroelectric phase transition in TGS to TGSe could be explained based on the structural differences between the two crystals.
