MANUFACTURE OF INSTRUMENTED STEAM GENERATORS FOR FISBE PROJECT

CDM has successfully manufactured and delivered two Instrumented Steam Generators for the FIBSE (Facility for Integral System Behavior Experiments) project, based on the design and drawings, provided by the Reactor Engineering Division. The FISBE facility simulates the Primary Heat Transport (PHT) system of a 235 MWe PHWR, viz., the Fuel Rod Cluster Simulators (FRCS), the Steam Generators (SGs), the Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS), the Feed and the Bleed systems, along with their associated control systems. The facilty is to be used for conducting thermal hydraulic experiments, by simulating steady state, transient and accidental conditions in a PHWR.
