Exxon heads queue to take Mozambique LNG operatorship

ExxonMobil is leading the competition to buy a share of Anadarko's interest in its giant LNG project in Mozambique after Shell pulled out following its acquisition of BG. If the US supermajor does end up buying the project it seems almost certain that the already ambitious timetable which envisages first production in 2018 will be delayed further.
