Galp launches Moroccan Trident

Galp has started drilling a shallow water well off Morocco. The Portuguese company's first offshore operated well has been spudded by the Rowan Ralph Cojfman jack-up on the Tarfaya Offshore block in around 328ft (100m) of water. It is targeting three stacked objectives with total reserves of 190m bbl although the main one is the Middle Jurassic Trident DrosDect. GalD Duts the chance of success at 21%.
