Afren claims right to Nigerian Okoro field with refinancing 'Imminent'

Afren found a new boss and said its refinancing is "imminent" but has denied partner Amni's claim it has any rights to cancel the agreement for the producing Okoro field. Amni is operator of the field with Afren as technical operator but earlier this year Afren cancelled contracts for the infrastructure for the Okoro Further Field development including a proposed pipeline laying contract, wellhead platform and mobile offshore production unit.
