European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD)-53rd Annual Meeting

The 53rd Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) was held in Lisbon, Portugal, and brought together industry representatives and academics from all over the world to hear the latest research in diabetes. The presentations covered all aspects of type 1 and 2 diabetes research, including its comorbidities, and especially obesity as related to type 2 diabetes. A wide range of biological data were discussed from various stages of research into treatments for this disease. This report covers the highlights presented at this year's meeting.
