Alternative therapy option for plastic-aesthetic treatment of defects after resection in the upper third of the facial region in the sense of subtotal scalping instead of local flap plastics

In the presented case, the resulting defect size after resection of adermatofibrosarcoma protuberans exceeded the treatment capability with local flaps in the region of the exposed facial skin. Through the use of conventional wound healing in combination with ameshed split-thickness skin graft, plastic aesthetic soft tissue treatment with an aesthetically satisfactory result was possible.
