摘要

Since the late 1980's there has been an increase in research on mergers and acquisition (M&A) integration the findings indicating that the success rate of M&A are low. It is acknowledged that involvement of human resource management (HRM) can influence the success of integration but there is limited understanding of how this can be achieved. Most of the research into post M&A process has focused on the impact of human resource (HR) on personnel factors such as leadership conflict and lack of skills and training while less attention has been given to the integration process itself. The development of a structured framework that integrates HR policies and practices with business practices, finances and strategies would enable increased understanding of the process leading to the facilitation of successful M&As.
