As relatively high users of energy, protected edibles growers face a particular challenge in meeting the NFU's goal of making British farming carbon-neutral by 2040, while the sector is also likely to come under pressure to increase sustainability inother ways over the coming years.Fortunately, other countries' industries, most notably in the Netherlands, face similar challenges and have implemented extensive research programmes to address them.
