Stress and depression are fast becoming major causes of illness, and forward-thinking employers are taking note. Stress accounted for 37 per cent of all work-related ill health and 45 per cent of working days lost to ill health in the 2015-16 financial year, according to the Health & Safety Executive. In the same year 11.7 million working days were lost to stress.
