Latest Office for National Statistics figures show that construction output rose by 2.1 per cent from September to November 2018, but forecasters and business leaders are warning that 2019 is a different beast.Trade body the Construction Products Association's (CPA) latest forecasts, released last month, show a weaker estimate for growth than its previous forecast six months ago. Back then, 2019 construction output was forecast to rise by 2.3 per cent, but the CPA's winter forecasts predict a rise of only 0.3 per cent.
