The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has relaunched as the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) following a decline in its income from the National Lottery from around ￡330m in 2017-18 to ￡290m in 2018-19 and a consultation with more than 13,000 peopleincluding lottery players and heritage organisations.As announced in December 2017, dedicated funds such as Parks for People have been cut and the ￡lbn that the new NLHF has available for the next five years will be distributed to all types of heritage projects from five new funding pots (see box, below), which are now open for applications. The new funds have three key funding priorities: nature and natural heritage; communities; and inclusivity. In addition, all projects will need to demonstrate that they are environmentally friendly.
