Outlast Technologies has developed a new fabric technology called Outlast Xelerate, PurThread Technologies and Cotton Incorporated have collaborated in the development of cotton blend fabrics which have antimicrobial properties, and Freudenberg Performance Materials has developed a new cover fabric for use in the manufacture of bedding products which incorporate down and feathers. Advansa has developed new polyester fibrefill products for use in the manufacture of bedding, and Kelheim Fibres has developed a viscose fibre which facilitates static dissipation. IKEA has developed a chair which incorporates a three-dimensionally (3D) knitted panel, and Tata Elxsi and Welspun Group have collaborated in the development of interactive home textile products for children. Birkenstock and ADA have developed a range of Birkenstock branded beds and mattresses, and Bedgear has developed its first mattresses as well as a collection of blankets called Performance Blankets. Lenzing has developed bed linen products which are suitable for use in the hotel trade, and Malouf has developed a new memory foam pillow which is designed to help the sleeper to maintain a comfortable body temperature.
