Wet drawing equipment redesigned to offer most dry drawing benefits

Italy's Gimax reports that a redesign of its wet drawing equipment and the traditional "submerged" drawing tank has evolved into the "TRS" range of non-slip wet drawing units (pictured) with independently driven vertical capstans. A press release said that the advance combines most of the benefits of a dry drawing line with a wet one for input wire diameters that start at 2.0 mm (steel wire) or 3.00 mm with aluminum wire. The TRS is a "spray" type wet drawbench, where the lubricant is sprayed onto the die and die box and onto the capstan. The range is ideal for both ferrous and nonferrous wires.
