The Baltic Sea is suffering from eutrophicationand attempts are being made to reduce nutrient loads. Thisarticle focuses on nitrogen transport from southern Sweden(145 000 km2), and presents a model approach (HBV-N) thathas been used in the national decision-making process for bestmanagement practices.
