Control of bovine tuberculosis (bTB) cost more than €84 million in 2017, according to 2018 data from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), Control is essential to reduce the burden of infected animals, to protect animal welfare and public health, and to ensure market access.
