Australia/South Korea/USA - Allison Transmission Inc's 1000 Series fully automatic transmission with xFE technology is now available as an option on all four Hyundai Mighty truck models sold in Australia. The Mighty Truck range consists of the 4.5 tonne GVM EX4, the 6.5 tonne EX6, the 7.8 tonne GVM EX8 and the 8.5 tonne GVM EX9 models. The Hyundai Mighty automatic version is powered by the Hyundai 3.9 litre four-cylinder turbo inter-cooled diesel engine rated at 127kW/608Nm and mated with the six-speed, fully automatic Allison 1000 Series xFE. As the first light duty truck to offer an Allison fully automatic in this market, Hyundai Trucks Australia of Bankstown, New South Wales, aims to increase its brand appeal and provide a clear advantage over competitors' light duty models.
