New project to catalyse innovation in Worcestershire agri-tech

A project supporting Worcestershire enterprises in diversifying into new agri-tech markets got underway in November at Pershore College.GrowAgri Worcestershire, a ￡2m joint initiative between the college and the European Regional Development Fund, unveiled its programme to support the creation of new innovations and enterprises to benefit the horticultural and agricultural industries.The launch, held on 13 November, was attended by several representatives from a variety of local agricultural, horticultural, technology and engineering businesses. They heard presentations from Professor Roy Kennedy, leader of the agri-tech programme at Pershore College and GrowAgri project manager Mark Harwood-Browne; and had a tour of the Agri-Tech Research Centre.
