Gastrointestinal non-Hodgkin lymphoma is the most common form of extranodal lymphoma and involves the malignant proliferation of B cells that first accumulate in the gastrointestinal tract.The majority of these lymphomas are divided into 2 histologic subtypes: mucosa-associated lymphoma (MALT) type and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
