摘要

Problems of modeling damage to and fracture of solid bodies with cracks under the effect of different types of loading, as well as the principles of analysis and safety support of engineering systems in a badly damaged state on the basis of the criteria of fracture mechanics, have been considered. Opportunities to develop a criteria definition procedure for detection of defects typical for pipelines have been studied. Principles of linear fracture mechanics concerning the balance of thin plates with normal fracture cracks most typical for pipelines under internal pressure are given.
