Baumer launches new splitter for hiah densitv materials

Freudenberg, Germany-Albrecht Baumer has launched a new horizontal splitting machine, the Split-HD 500. The new machine can split sheets and blocks with densities of up to 400 kg/m3, depending on material and cutting thickness. It can handle high-density materials with hardness above 40 Shore A, the company added. The Split-HD 500 features an innovative knife guide system, in which the knife bar has a new geometrical shape. This gives greater stability and reduces friction, the comany said.
