Spray foam insulation: an expanding market

Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation has made great inroads into the construction sector in recent years, particularly in north America, and its impact is set to grow globally in the coming decade. The technology isn't new - SPF was adopted by NASA in the 1960s, being used to insulate external fuel tanks in both the Apollo missions and the space shuttle programme. It was also used to create the huge Ape City film set for the 1969 movie Planet of the Apes.
