Los Angeles,California Barefoot shoe company Vivobarefoot has-launched a new sustainable unisex performance shoe based on corn-derived polyols.The vegan shoes incorporate more than 30% renewable plant-based materials instead of single-use petroleum materials.The renewable materials in-clude TPU,made using DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products’corn-derived Susterra propanediol.In addition,Vivobarefoot said the shoes contain algae bi-omass-based Bloom foam from Algix.On average,they weigh 10% less than a standard performance shoe.
