OIL AND PETROLEUM PRODUCTS

The article reviews situation in the market of oil and products in Ukraine in November - December 2002. the average level of prices at the wholesale market of petroleum products has reduced by UAH/MT 20-195 (1-10 percent) by results of December 2002 for all types of products. The prices were as follows as on the end of December; gasoline A-95 - UAH/MT 1,900-2,100; A-92 - UAH/MT 1,830-1,860; A-76 -UAH/MT 1,620-1,680; gasoil -UAH/MT 1,460-1,520. Import of oil to Ukraine in November 2002 exceeded 1,450 ths. tons with the prices averaging approximately USD/MT 169. export of oil from Ukraine in November 2002 constituted about 16 ths. tons. Average export prices for oil made up roughly USD/MT 184. import deliveries of gasoline to Ukraine in November 2002 comprised more than 62 ths. tons. Level of prices herewith averaged approximately USD/MT 253. meanwhile, import of gasoline from Ukraine in November 2002 constituted more than 10 ths. tons. Import deliveries of gasoil to Ukraine (without considering shipments of gasoil for further processing) last November roughly made only 1 ths. tons with the prices averaging to USD/MT 246. shipments of gasoil from Ukraine in November 2002 constituted approximately 91 ths. tons, including about 60 ths. tons of export deliveries. Average price for the product was USD/MT 217 on FOB/DAF border of Ukraine terms. The article also provides forecasts of situation development in the world oil market in the first half of 2003.
