China to focus on insect-resistant hybrid cotton

A new line of Chinese-developed genetically modified insect-resistant hybrid cotton can increase cotton yields by 25%, according to research from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences' Institute of Biotechnology. It will be ready for widespread cultivation within four to five years.
