An ideal Cooperative Society: Lambra Kangri

Lambra Kangri Cooperative Society of Hoshiapur district in Doaba region has reached the pinnacle of cooperative society movement in India, the seeds of which were sown in the state of Gujarat some 120 years ago. It has attained the status of an idealsociety in the name of two villages. This cooperative society, which was in deficit at one time has now changed the facade of the villages. This cooperative society has strengthened the economic and social status of the residents cultivating about 3500 acres of irrigated farm land.The experts not only from national level but also from international organizations often visit this society to witness its accomplishments.
