Tribal medicines of Velliankadu and Paalamalai of Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu.

摘要

A survey of medicinal plants used by the tribes in Velliankadu and Paalamalai in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India was conducted. A total of 31 medicinal plant species used by the Irulas, Kurumbas Kodas, Adivasis, Valiars and other tribal people in Vellilankadu and Pallamalai were recorded. Data are presented on the botanical name, family, biologically active compounds, preparation, administration and medicinal properties of the plants.
