摘要

Black gram is one of the important legume crops grown under rainfed area of Gujarat. It has also attracted attention of farmers of dry farming areas where it is withstand against drought conditions. Productivity of black gram is very low which might be due to poor crop management practices and fertilizer management. The spacing and NP fertilization are most prompt inputs for securing maximum yield. The requirement / absorption of nutrients are also quite important for fertilizer requirement of cropsand hence, an experiment was taken to investigate the response of black gram to spacing and NP fertilization under rainfed agriculture, a field experiment was conducted during kharif season of 1995 to 1997 for successive three years pn medium black soilsof Dry Farming Research Station, Targhadia (Gujarat) under rainfed condition in split plot design having three plant spacing (30 x 15cm, 45 x 10cm & 60 x 7.5 cm) as main plot, 16 treatment combination of A levels of nitrogen (0,10,20 & 30 kg N/ha) and 4 levels of phosphorus (0,20,40 & 60 kg P_2O_5/ha) as sub plot alongwith three replication.
