Contamination of citrus nurseries by soil-borne pathogens, especially Phytophthora nicotianae and Phytophthora citrophthora, is a big risk to the sustainability of a nursery.Therefore, the presence of these two pathogens in nurseries should be prevented at all cost, especially since infected nursery trees are often the source of infection in orchards (Ippolito et al. 2004).
