I want to adapt your Full Wave 230VAC Universal Motor Speed Controller from the March 2018 issue [siliconchip.com.au/Article/10998l to run from a 110VAC mains supply. I have an idea of which components may need to be changed but would like to run it past you. The reason that I want to do this is that I have a milling machine with a powered X feed via an ASONG AS-235. This uses a very basic half-wave speed control and has poor low-speed control. I've been looking for some time for a replacement speed controller and I think the aforementioned controller would be a suitable candidate.
