Forestry Commission - endings?

Well, that's it then. The Forestry Commission which we have all come to know, if not necessarily to love, has come to an end in Scotland after 100 years. It is quite an event. It is universally known to the public and there can be few foresters who have not had dealings with the Commission. To those of us who were fortunate enough to have served in the Commission, its end in Scotland cannot do other than bring sadness.
