CS CANE CRUSH CENTRES ON MATO GROSSO DO SUL IN JANUARY

Ulrica's crushing update for the second half of January showed that only 407,420 tonnes of cane was crushed during the period, with almost all of it by mills in Mato Grosso do Sul. Sugar production was negligible at 4,420 tonnes, tel quel, while ethanol production totalled 67.46 mln litres. Almost 60% of this (or 39.20 mln litres) was ethanol produced from corn, which has grown significantly this season. Almost all of the corn ethanol was hydrous ethanol (37.52 mln litres).
