Production of neutral alcohol for the beverage sector recorded a weak first half in 2017 with the total volume reaching no more than 159 mln litres. This compares 173 mln litres produced in the same period a year ago, according to official statistics. Total production in 2016 was 330 mln litres, a record high, against 313 mln in 2015.
