2020 ETHANOL EXPORTS START ON A STRONG NOTE UNITED STATES

Ethanol exports in January 2020 totalled around 577.7 mln litres, trade data show, a 15-month high and a plus of 18% on the year, following a 4% increase to 556.1 mln in December. The January total included ? a strong 220.3 mln litres for Brazil, ? a below-average 93.9 mln to Canada, as well as ? ongoing high shipments to India (50.4 mln), the European Union (48.9 mln), South Korea (48.3 mln), Peru (27.5 mln) and the Philippines (23.7 mln).
