E-10 DEMAND ROSE BY ALMOST ONE FIFTH IN Q1

E-10 sales grew by 19% on the year in Jan/Mar 2019, the most-recent data from ethanol sector group SNPAA show. Around 1.157 bln litres of SP95-E10 were sold, against 712 mln of other regular gasoline (SP95), down 9%, and 519 mln of premium product (SP98), up 4%. This translates into market shares of 47% (Q1 2018: 42%), 29% (34%) and 21% (22%), respectively. Fuel ethanol demand also benefited from a 7% growth in volumes of all gasoline products sold.
