COMMISSION STARTS AS ENQUIRY INTO BIODIESEL IMPORTS FROM INDONESIA

The European Commission issued a notice of initiation of an anti-subsidy (AS) proceeding concerning imports of biodiesel originating in Indonesia. It said that there is sufficient evidence to justify the initiation of a proceeding, so it initiates an investigation under regulation (EU) 2018/825. The Commission pointed to a complaint lodged on October 22, 2018 by the European Biodiesel Board. The investigation of subsidisation and injury will cover the period from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018. The examination of trends relevant for the assessment of injury will cover the period from January 1, 2015 to the end of the investigation period.
