PANTALEON TO SHUT DOWN CONCEPCION MILL GUATEMALA

In order to drive down costs, Pantaleon will shut down its Concepcion mill in Escuintla. All the sugarcane will be diverted to Sta Lucia Cotzumalgualpa, where future operations will be concentrated. The Concepcion plant has a processing capacity of 1.5 mln tonnes of cane per year. Sta Lucia Cotzumalgualpa can crush up to 5 mln tonnes.
