Milling companies in the United States are investing in ancient grains in various ways. They are partnering with farmers to grow grains like quinoa and millet domestically. New milling facilities are turning the ancient grains into flour as well.The Annex by Ardent Mills, a specialty grain and innovation division of Denver-based Ardent Mills, has partnered with Colorado Quinoa, LLC to clean, mill and market quinoa grown in Colorado's San Luis Valley. Advantages of US-grown quinoa include stablepricing, scalable supply, sustainability and traceability, according to Ardent Mills.
