Concept of methodology of programming, designing and implementation of land consolidation works on land owned by private farms

This paper presents general characteristics of the methodology of programming, designing and implementation of land consolidation works concerning private farms, taking static and dynamic approaches. Particular attention was devoted to the issues of: 1. determining the purpose, degree of urgency and required sequence of land consolidation in rural areas dominated by private farms; 2. optimization of the area structure of consolidated farms as well as the area and shape of the lots of land designed. The paper represents a condensed outline of the main methodological guidelines included in the doctoral dissertation by the author, entitled: A new approach to land consolidation in the process of transformation of the physical structure of individual farms". Presenting the major conclusions concerning the methodology suggested, the paper focuses on its objectivity and practical applicability supported by the results of field studies.
