Looking at Glossop Cartons today, with its 80+ employees and modern facilities that last year generated sales in excess of ￡8m, it is difficult to imagine the early days as described by co-founder and joint owner, Brian Sidebottom. 'We set out with high hopes, little print experience and a whole load of determination. My background was engineering, which in those days was all I needed to handle the technology that included a Soag foider gluer, a Heidelberg platen and a single-colour Crabtree Falcon.'
