The development of this stylish breed was brought about via the importation of Croads from Major and Miss Croad into Germany in 1879. Many authorities and other breeds have contributed to what we see today.Although all three compete at our shows - Croad, Modern and German - the latter possibly holds the current crown for attendance at shows, and good specimens in the three popular colours Black, Blue and White are constantly in the running for top honours.
